Concept
MOLLYWORLD is an interactive miniature installation based off Molly’s “Dream Home” drawings from her childhood sketchbook. The sets are built into a four-foot-tall dollhouse frame with each floor packed with colorful handmade furniture. I placed myself into the space to finally “enter” (digitally) the home I once dream of living in. This project is an act of communication to my past self and intended to complete the process of childhood manifestation while also exploring concepts relating to environmental visualization and world-building.
Although the title of this particular project is MOLLYWORLD, the concept of MOLLYWORLD stretches beyond this individual installation and collection of final images. MOLLYWORLD as a whole is the mental space and visual world I’ve been building since I was a child, and the realm my work lives in.
